Qualche giorno fa Michael Straczynski ha postato un messaggio<\/a> su rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.moderated il cui contenuto mi trova in perfetta sintonia, con particolare riferimento a questo brano:<\/span><\/p>\n

B5 as a five year story stands beautifully on its own. \u00a0If anything else is to be continued from that story, it should be something that adds to the legacy of B5, rather than subtracts from it.[…]<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, for me, it’s not just a matter of getting more B5. \u00a0It’s a matter of getting more *good* B5 that respects what came before it and doesn’t have to compromise visually or in terms of action. \u00a0The original show deserves better than that, the surviving cast members deserve better than that, and the fans who have supported it over the years definitely deserve better than that. \u00a0A lot better.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Chi non mastica la lingua del yes<\/em>, pu\u00f2 leggere l’aticolo pubblicato oggi sul Corriere della Fantascienza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

La man\u00eca assurda dei prequel<\/em> e sequel<\/em> mi ha stufato da qualche tempo. Dal punto di vista della produzione dello spettacolo \u00e8 una via comoda (il Maestro Yoda ammonisce che la via verso il Lato Oscuro \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 comoda e facile) perch\u00e9 si lavora con dei presupposti gi\u00e0 stabiliti e noti al pubblico. Inoltre si pu\u00f2 fare affidamento su uno zoccolo duro di fan gi\u00e0 formati, che, magari, parleranno male dello show, ma intanto acquistano il biglietto o il DVD, che \u00e8 quello che interessa alla produzione.<\/p>\n

In sostanza, qualcuno tenta di rifilare come nuove idee di qualche lustro fa, ma vuole essere pagato con soldi nuovi, non con quelli di qualche lustro fa. Non ci sto.<\/p>\n

Benissimo ha fatto JMS a dire basta a questo pietoso stillicidio di show low budget<\/em> senza la possibilit\u00e0 di esprimere in maniera degna idee e storie nuove. Probabilmente Hollywood preferisce continuare ad investire sulle stesse minestre riscaldate e riciclate; da un certo punto di vista fa anche bene, finch\u00e9 ci saranno persone che compreranno biglietti e DVD di spettacoli riciclati e rivenduti come nuovi e belli (un po’ come i mutui subprime<\/em>, ma sto divagando).<\/p>\n

Bravo Joe! Bravo per aver detto quello che pensi. La mia speranza \u00e8 che tu riesca, ancora una volta, a scrivere la storia della televisione.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
